Privacy Notice

Last updated: 6 August 2026

1. Who is responsible for your information

VowDuet operates vowduet.com. For privacy questions, email contact.vowduet@gmail.com.

VowDuet decides how account, order, security and service data is used. For guest lists and invitation replies, the couple decides which information is requested and why, while VowDuet stores it on their behalf.

2. Information we process

Account and order details, wedding information, guest lists, attendance replies, contact details, meal, transport and accommodation choices, content entered in the dashboard, and technical information needed to sign you in and protect the account.

Allergy or health information is optional. We process it only after explicit consent in the RSVP form and make it available to the couple solely to organise the wedding.

3. Purposes and lawful bases

  • creating an account and website and providing the service — contract or pre-contract steps;
  • RSVP, guest management and wedding organisation — the couple’s instructions;
  • security, fraud prevention and technical support — legitimate interests;
  • tax or legal duties — legal obligation where applicable;
  • allergy or health information — explicit consent, which can be withdrawn.

4. Service providers and access

We use hosting, database, security and transactional email providers, including Cloudflare and Resend. They receive only the information needed to provide their service. A couple can access their guests’ replies; other couples cannot.

Some providers may process information outside the UK or EEA. Where this happens, we require an appropriate safeguard such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

5. Retention

We keep information while the account is active and normally for no longer than 12 months after the service ends, unless the couple deletes it sooner or law requires longer retention. Backups and security logs are removed on a technical cycle.

6. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, object to its use, receive a copy, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier processing. A guest may contact the couple first or contact VowDuet directly.

You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or the data protection authority in your country.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for sign-in, session continuity and account security. We do not currently use advertising cookies or marketing tracking.
